A rare graduated coral beads necklace.

This coral necklace is one of the best one we have ever seen. Wonderfully necklace created in Naples Italy, during the mid-century period, back in the 1950. This rare graduated corals necklace has been mounted in a 18 karats yellow gold wire and fitted with a push boxed lock. The coral beads in this necklace have been carefully chosen with a very even and unusual color, without spots, pores, or cracks. They have been perfectly carved and polished with semi-ovoid spherical shapes and with an impeccable gradation of sizes. One of them works as a lock and has been worked in such a way that it is virtually invisible, thus giving a visual continuity to the necklace. This piece is definitely very special and the workmanship is exceptional.

Gemstones: Mount in a wire, with 38 coral beads, graduated from 11 mm to 20 mm. The weight of the coral beads is 529.75 carats

Weight: 110.95 Grams, (71.12 Dwt).

Measurements: 17 Inches, (43.18 Cm).

Hallmarks: Stamped wiTh the gold assay mark for 18kt.

Note: The coral beads are natural, not dyed, even in color without white or black spots and is from the Sardinia region in southern Italy.

Note: The corals carvings displayed in this necklace are magnificent salmon red variety, matched in size, color, saturation and with even unspotted surfaces. Red coral, or Corallium rubrum, is a branch-forming coral species found in the Mediterranean Sea and is the most valuable of all precious corals. Lakshmi coral, also known as triangular coral, is the best shape of coral stone. This triangular red coral gem is believed to be ruled by Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth.

Collateral: It is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.

ConditionThe overall condition of this necklace is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. All pieces of coral are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
