Elusive pictorial brooch designed by Ilias Lalaounis.
A vintage three-dimensional piece, created in Greece by the house of Lalaounis, circa late 1970's. It was carefully crafted in solid rich yellow gold of 18 karats, with textured surfaces and suited with a horizontal hinged pin bar with a security lock.
The image represented is that of a Greek village in the mountains, with multiple superimposed houses and two windmills with rotating blades. The workmanship is exceptional, with extreme textured details and perforations simulating the doors and windows of the houses.
Have a weight of 15.4 Grams and a measures of 68 mm by 27 mm (2.68 x 1.06 Inches).
Stamped, with the maker's mark for Lalaounis, the gold assay hallmark and signed in full, "ILIAS LALAOUNIS .750 18 KT A21 GREECE".
