Art Deco 1930 Gia Certified Brooch in Platinum With 27.85 Ctw In Diamonds & Burmese Sapphires
An art-deco gem-set brooch.
Beautiful and gorgeous piece from the American art deco period, circa 1930's. This brooch was carefully assembled from several elements crafted in the shape of an abstract flower with stepped petals, in solid .900/.999 platinum and .100/.999 iridium. Suited at the reverse with a double hinged pins bars and a hook to wear as a brooch and embellished with a great assortment of natural gemstones.
All the borders and the center are mount, with 164 white colorless calibrated round brilliant cut diamonds, for a total of 8.92 carats, F/G color, VS-2 clarity.
Prong set, with 63 very fine Burmeses vivid blue sapphires of multiples shapes, sizes and cuts styles. All are calibrated in color and have a combined weight of 18.93 carats.
Has a total weight of 39.3 Grams and a measurements of 43 mm by 46 mm (1.70 x 1.81 Inches).
Collateral: This piece is accompanied by the GIA laboratory certificate report number 2225403646, stating the sapphires are natural, transparent, not heated and from Burma (Myanmar) origin.
Condition: The overall condition of this piece is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the platinum. All the gemstones, are secured in the settings. This brooch has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and the authenticity. All gemstones are the original ones from the stated period.
