*Angela Cummings New York rare free form earrings in 18 kt yellow gold with white nacre
Rare pair of earrings designed by Angela Cummings.
An elegant and playful free-forms shaped pair, crafted by Cummings in New York city back in the 1980's. Made of solid 18 karats of high polished yellow gold and suited, with comfortable omega backs for fastening clips and if desired, the posts options can be easily added.
Mounted, with four free-forms carvings from natural white nacre shell.
Have a combined weight of 21.5 grams and a measures of 34 mm (1.34 inches) by 18 mm (0.71 inch).
They are both signed and stamped with the hallmarks, "ANGELA CUMMINGS 18 KT".
Angela Cummings, was born in 1944 in Klagenfurt in Austria. She take her education at the art academy in Perugia, Italy and at the Zeichenakademie in Hanau, West Germany. in the 1967 she joined Tiffany & Co working under the guidance of Donald Claflin and in the 1975, she was the artistic director for her exclusive line brand Cummings. in 1984 she started her own line of jewelry to be retailed exclusively at an in-boutique store at Bergdorf Goodman, in New York city. now she's retired from the jewelry business.
Very nice collector's piece, both her signed pieces for Tiffany & Co. created in the 1970's and 1980's and also her own exclusive pieces, remain highly collectible and are admired for their beauty, comfort and easily recognizably in style.
