Bombe cocktail ring designed by Van Cleef & Arpels.

A vintage modernist ring, created in Paris France by the jewelry house of Van Cleef & Arpels, back in the 1970. This rare ring was carefully assembled and crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish and embellished with a beautiful checkerboard pattern composed by four semi circular pieces carved with ribbed lines from natural palisander wood. This piece is from the Osaka collection, produced by the house of Van Cleef & Arpels between the 1966 and the 1973.

Weight: 14.25 Grams, (9.14 Dwt).

Size: 6, cannot be enlarged only downsized with spring or spheres sizers.

Measurements: 24 mm by 17 mm (0.95 x 0.67 Inches) and raise 10 mm over the finger

Hallmarks: Stamped with French marks; the eagle head for the assay and warranty of the 18kt gold, the maker's maitre cartouche Ste. JTB associated to Jean-Thierry Bond, the serial numbers and signed, "VCA © OR .750 115220 Ste. JTB".

Note: The master jeweler Jean-Thierry Bondt workshop atelier was located in Paris 2 at 19 Rue de Choiseul, he collaborate with Van Cleef & Arpels between the 1960’s and 1970’s, the workshop operations was ceased in the 2006.

Collateral: It is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.

ConditionThe overall condition of this ring is exceptional. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. The wood carvings are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
