Classic ring designed by Jean Schlumberger for Tiffany & Co.

This piece is one the most iconic designs by Schlumberger for Tiffany. It was crafted in solid 18 karats yellow gold and .950/.999 platinum. 

The yellow gold part is embellished with applications of vivid foiled blue hot enamel.

The top platinum element is mount with a French pave setting of 28 round brilliant cut diamonds, 0.86 carats. E color, VVS-1 clarity. 

Have a weight of 9.5 grams and the actual size is 5.75, cannot be enlarged.

Stamped, with the maker's mark, the gold and platinum assay hallmarks and signed "TIFFANY & CO. 750 PT.950 SCHLUMBERGER".

Jean Schlumberger, was asked in 1956 by the president of Tiffany & Co. Walter Hovin to begin designing for the firm. He had his own workshop at the company until his retirement in the late 1970's and was eventually made vice president of the company. Schlumberger design's at tiffany were remarkable for their whimsical interpretation of natural forms. He was especially inspired by the sea creatures and others animals. He was an exceptional designer, jeweler and a master enameller.
