Rare bracelet-pendant designed by Elsa Peretti (1940-2021) for Tiffany & Co.
Gorgeous and rare free-form bracelet called, The Flying Saucer. This early model is the oval shaped type, created by Peretti, back in the 198o's. Just a few were produced an is carefully crafted in solid .925/1000 sterling silver and finished with very high polished mirrored surfaces.
It is pretty heavy, with a total weight of 47.5 grams and is very comfortable to fit a wrist up to 7 inches (17.75 Cm).
This is the medium version with a measures of 83 by 80 mm (3.25 by 3.13 inches).
Stamped, with the maker's mark, the serial numbers, the sterling assay hallmark and signed in full, "TIFANY & CO. PERETTI STERLING .925 E 227".
Elsa Peretti, was an important and iconic American designer that joined Tiffany & Co in the 1974 and change the role of diamonds and color gemstones in fashion for the everyday wear and elevating the status of the sterling silver jewelry. mostly using unusual gemstones and materials. all her creations are as modern today as ever.
