This is a magnificent pair of clips-on earrings created in New York City by Tiffany & Co. These colorful vintage earrings were crafted as a right and left pair in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish. They are embellished with natural gemstones, such; two gorgeous Italian red corals from Sardinia and eight calibrated white colorless diamonds. They are fitted at the reverse with gold posts for pierced ears and comfortable hinged omega backs for fastening clips.

About These Mediterranean Sardinian Coral

The carved corals cabochons displayed in this pair of earrings are magnificent, from the Sardinian region in southern Italy. The carving display exceptional red saturation, with even color and unspotted surfaces. Red corals like this are branch-forming coral species found only in the Mediterranean Sea close to Sardinia and is one of the most valuable of all precious corals.

Diamonds: Mount in four-prongs settings, with 8 matching round brilliant cut diamonds, with a total weight of about 0.80 carats, white colorless E/F color. VS clarity/

Coral: Mounted in concealed posts settings, with 2 well matched round cabochon cut (8 x 8 x 6 mm) of natural red Sardinian corals, with an estimate weight of about 6.68 carats.

Birthstone: Coral for the month of April.
