Pair of Allure flora earrings designed by Angela Cummings for Tiffany & Co.

Very rare pair of clips-on earrings, created by Angela Cummings for the Tiffany & Co. studios, back in in the 1980. These earrings are very playful with a youthful look and was part of the Allure Flora collection. They have been crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish and embellished with a beautiful inlaid mosaic composed by white nacre and black jade. The earrings are fitted at the reverse with omega backs for fastening clips and the addition of posts can be easily done. As a note pieces from this Cummings collection were never mass produced and we are sure only 8 to 10 pieces were produced.

The gemstones are naturally earth mined and inlaid in the gold. The mosaic work created, show the stylized figure of a beautiful, stylized orchid flower with a strong reminiscence to the works by the French sculptor, Jean Arp (1887-1966) and the American painter, Georgia O'Keeffe (1887-1886).

Hallmarks: They are both stamped with the maker’s mark, the mark for the assay of the gold and signed, "T&CO. .750 18K".

Angela Cummings 

She was born in 1944 in Klagenfurt in Austria. She takes her education at the art academy in Perugia, Italy and at the Zeichenakademie in Hanau, West Germany. in the 1967 she joined Tiffany & Co working under the guidance of Donald Claflin and in the 1975, she was the artistic director for her exclusive line brand Cummings. in 1984 she started her own line of jewelry to be retailed exclusively at an in-boutique store at Bergdorf Goodman, in New York city. now she's retired from the jewelry business. This pair is very nice and rare collector's piece, both her signed pieces for Tiffany & Co. created in the 1970's and 1980's and also her own exclusive pieces, remain highly collectible and are admired for their beauty, comfort and easily recognizably in style.

Collateral: They are accompanied by the designer's presentation jewelry box.

Condition: The overall condition of these earrings are excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. All gemstones are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and the authenticity.
