Cocktail ring designed by Jean Schlumberger for Tiffany & Co.

This iconic rare ring is the largest version of the ones created in New York city by Jean Schlumberger at the Tiffany Studios back in the 1970. It was carefully crafted with a micro textured scalloped swirls patterns in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with polished finish.

Gemstones: Bezel set on top with 1 round cabochon cut (8 x 8 x 5 mm) of a natural vivid blue lapis lazuli gemstone of 2.15 carats

Weight: 18.95 Grams, (12.15 Dwt).

Size: 11 and is sizeable.

Measurements: From the top view 27 mm by 15 mm (1.06 x 0.60 Inches).

Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, the mark for the assay of the gold and signed, "TIFFANY & CO. SCHLUMBERGER .750".

Jean Schlumberger, was asked in 1956 by the president of Tiffany & Co. Walter Hovin to begin designing for the firm. He had his own workshop at the company until his retirement in the late 1970's and was eventually made vice president of the company. Schlumberger design's at tiffany were remarkable for their whimsical interpretation of natural forms. He was especially inspired by the sea creatures and others animals. He was an exceptional designer, jeweler and a master enameller.

ConditionThe overall condition of this ring is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. The gemstone is secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
