Rare earrings designed by Angela Cummings for Tiffany & Co.
A vintage pair of earrings designed by Cummings, back in the early 1970's. They are oval shaped, very colorful and youthful pieces, crafted in solid 18 kt of polished yellow gold. Suited, with posts for pierced ears (Removable) and a pair of hinged omega backs for fastening clips.
Embellished with 4 free-forms carvings of natural green malachite and blue lapis lazuli interlocked, creating a trump l'oeil pattern.
The weight of this pair is 16.2 grams and the measures are 22.8 mm (0.90 in) by 18.5 mm (0.73 in).
Stamped, with the maker's mark, the gold assay hallmark and signed in full, "TIFFANY & CO. C, HONG KONG 750".
Angela Cummings was born in 1944 in Klagenfurt in Austria. She take her education at the art academy in Perugia, Italy and at the Zeichenakademie in Hanau, West Germany. in the 1967 she joined Tiffany & Co working under the guidance of Donald Claflin and in the 1975, she was the artistic director for her exclusive line brand Cummings. in 1984 she started her own line of jewelry to be retailed exclusively at an in-boutique store at Bergdorf Goodman, in New York city. now she's retired from the jewelry business.
A very nice and rare collector's piece, both her signed pieces for Tiffany & Co. created in the 1970's and 1980's and also her own exclusive pieces, remain highly collectible and are admired for their beauty, comfort and easily recognizably in style.

Condition: The overall condition of this earrings is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. All the gemstones, are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
