*Italian seated happy Buddha pendant in 18 kt yellow gold with red coral diamonds & emeralds
A Chinoiserie pendant of a seated buddha.
Gorgeous vintage piece, created in Florence, Italy during the mid-century period, circa 1960. This depict the enthroned seated figure of Buddha, carefully carved from a single piece of natural reddish-salmon coral and set up into an oval custom made mount, crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats. The base and the top parts of the mounting are decorated with elaborated chinoiserie elements of lotus flowers and acanthus leaves.
Suited at top, with an oval movable bale of 10 mm to wear into a chain and is set, with 6 round brilliant cut diamonds, 0.24 carats, F/G color, VS-2 clarity.
The base and the upper part are embellished with 9 calibrated bezels, that are holding natural Colombian green emeralds with a combined weight of 0.90 carats.
Have a total weight of 26.4 grams and a measures of 34 mm by 55 mm (1.34 x 2.17 Inches).
Stamped, with the maker's mark and the Italian gold assay hallmark, "1 FI .750 18 KT".
Note: The maker's mark *1 FI, means that the piece has been crafted in Firenze, Italy. This piece bear the number of the Atelier 1, that means has been made by a very old traditional goldsmith from the city.
It is in perfect condition.
