Wristwatch designed by Lucien Piccard.

Beautiful modernist wristwatch, created in Lucerne Switzerland by the watch company of Lucien Piccard, back in the 1960's. The case is squared, crated is solid yellow gold of 18 karats with textured surfaces. Fitted with a new wristband.

Movement: Manual mechanical wingding, analog rectangular dial with checkerboard design, gold rectangular hands, sapphire crown and rectangular glass.

Gemstones: The dial is mount in a checkerboard pattern with carved tiger eye quartz and blue lapis lazuli.

Weight: 27.45 Grams, (10.87 Dwt).

Size: Leather strap is 9 Inches including the gold case.

Measurements: 32 mm by 32.5 mm (1.26 x 1.28 Inches).

Hallmarks: Stamped with Swiss marks, the maker's mark, the gold assay mark, and signed, "LUCIEN PICCARD SWISS 18KT".

Lucien Piccard, was founded in Lausanne in 1923 by the watchmaker Lucien Piccard. The company originally began as Lucien focused on high-end luxury watches and continued to grow vastly in the early years.  As the company grew Lucien began to add jewels to his watches.  It's said he was the first to add jewels both internally as well as externally making the pieces appear as jewelry. Lucien Piccard was the first watchmaker to use jewels in the gears of his watches. As the world moved forward Lucien Piccard decided that with the invention of the quartz watch to focus the companies direction on quartz movements which is where they focused for many years.

Collateral: It is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.

ConditionThe overall condition of this wristwatch is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. A new leather strap has been installed. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
