Modernist fish brooch with Australian Opals.

Magnificent fish brooch, created in Italy back in the 1960. This little fish has been crafted with fabulous intricate details in solid yellow gold of 18 karats. Fitted with a hinged bar with a mechanical security lock and embellished with a great selection of natural earth mined gemstones. The body of the fish is finished with Florentine chiseled engraved patterns.

Agate: The eye of the fish is mount, with 1 round cabochon cut of 3 mm carved from natural black agate.

Opals: The body of the fish is mounted, with 126 calibrated tiny round cabochon cuts, carved from natural Australian black opals with a weight of about 0.80 carats.

Birthstone: For the month of October.

Weight: 6.65 Grams, (4.26 Dwt).

Measurements: 39 mm by 24 mm (1.53 x 0.96 Inches).

Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark an the Italian assay mark for the gold.
