Compendium cigarette case with lighter made in Germany.

This is a gorgeous Art deco compendium cigarette case with an integrated petrol lighter. This rare and unusual piece as been crafted at Pforzheim Germany, back in the 1925 in solid .935/.999 sterling silver with gilded interiors. The compendium if fitted with a concealed lift arm petrol lighter, and two hinged lids; one for the lighter and the other for the cigarettes compartment. The case is embellished with engine turned guilloche patterns topped with vivid royal blue translucent glass enamel and accented with floriated details made up in 24 karats gold.

Weight: 232.75 Grams, (149.20 Dwt).

Measurements: 125 mm by 75 mm by 18 mm (4.90 x 2.96 x 0.71 Inches).

Hallmarks: Stamped with German export marks; the maker's mark, the mark for the assay of the silver and signed, "LW .935 STERLING"

Condition: The overall condition of this compendium is very good, with minimal and normal wear. There is no damage to the silver. All parts are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
