FRASCAROLO Milano Enameled Tiger Cocktail Ring in 18Kt Gold With Diamonds & Rubies

This is a beautiful and highly sculpted cocktail ring from the bestiary collection of the famed Italian jeweler and designer, Pierino Frascarolo. The impressive and intricate tiger-ring was made during the Mid-Century period, back in the 1960. Crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with textured finish and depict the whimsical figure of a roaring tiger. The body is embellished with applications of black, red and white hot enamels and accented with twenty-two white colorless diamonds and two vivid red rubies.
Diamonds: Accented in flush-settings, with 22 European round diamonds, 0.22 carats, white colorless F/G color, VS/SI clarity.
Rubies: The eyes are mounted in bezel settings, with 2 round brilliant cuts of natural red rubies of 0.04 carats.
Weight: 15.70 Grams, (10.07 Dwt).
Size: 6 and can be sized up or down on special request.
Measurements: 21 mm by 22 mm (1.06 x 0.87 Inches) and raise 13 mm over the finger.
Hallmarks: Stamped in a plaque under the head, with the maker's mark associated to Frascarolo, the mark for the assay of the 18kt gold and signed in full as follow, "MODELE DEPOSE F.C. MADE IN ITALY .750 18 KT *347AL".
Pierino Frascarolo
He was born in 1928 in Milan Italy. He began his career as an apprentice with the Fratelli Lunati company. Subsequently, he founded his own firm with the partnership of Aldo Lenti. In 1948, he moved his jewelry factory to Corso Matteotti. He is well-known for his enamel and gold animals created throughout the 1960s. Later, Lenti and Frascarolo separated and the latter formed Frascarolo & co. in New York city with Mr. Adriano Gugliada. Frascarolo died in Valenza in July 1976 at the young age of just forty-eight. Unicorns, lions, Panthers and other fantastic animals are part of the bestiary assortment of this elusive pieces. Frascarolo is considered by many, the David Webb from Italy. His jewelry with beasts and wild animals in enamel are wanted and considered as highly collectible pieces.

Condition: The overall condition of this Frascarolo ring is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. The 24 gemstones are secured in their settings. This ring has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
