EBEL Swiss 1960 Modernist Wristwatch In 18Kt Gold With Lapis Lazuli

Fabulous and very chick wristwatch, created in Switzerland by the Ebel Watch Company, back in the 1960's. The wristwatch has been crafted with retro modernist patterns in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with polished finish. Designed with several swirled oval links and fitted with a push security boxed lock and a hinged figure 8 for extra safety. The dial was made up in fine lapis lazuli and the gold band is embellished with ten earth mined natural Afghani blue lapis lazuli.
Movement: Mechanical, manual winding, 17 jewels, signed Ebel CAL .61 Ref 60200.
Dial: Oval, carved in royal blue lapis lazuli, with four gold batons, gold hands and signed Ebel and the company logo. Oval convex glass.
Lapis Lazuli: Mounted in bezel settings, with 10 graduated elongated oval cabochon cuts of natural royal blue lapis lazuli with an estimate weight of about 6 carats.
Birthstone: Lapis Lazuli for the month of September.

The company was founded in 1911 by a husband and wife team, Eugène Blum and Alice Lévy, in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. Ebel is all about creating elegant watches with a harmonious appeal.
