This is a gorgeous and rare cocktail ring created by Cipullo for the house of Christian Dior in Paris, back in the early 1970. The cocktail ring was crafted with elegant fluted patterns in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish. It is embellished with applications of hard glass black enamel and mounted with a beautiful selection of sixty-nine natural diamonds.
Diamonds: Mount in flush prongs settings, with 69 graduated round brilliant cut diamonds, with a total weight of about 4.08 carats, white colorless E/F color, VS-2 clarity.
Weight: 14.5 grams, (9.30 Dwt.).
Size: 7 and may be sized up or down on special request.
Measures: 14 mm by 26 mm, (0.55 x 1.02 Inches) and raise 9.5 mm over the finger.
Hallmarks: Stamped with Italian and French marks, the maker's mark associated to Cipullo, the mark for the assay and warranty of the .750/.999 gold and signed in full as follows, "CHRISTIAN DIOR 18KT 38NA".
The Cipullo Workshop
The Italian workshop 38NA is the number assigned during the post-war period, to the goldsmith atelier of Renato Cipullo in Napoles Italy. Renato Cipullo is the brother of Aldo Cipullo, both were extremely talented jewelers and designers making fine jewelry for many famed Parisian fashion houses, such; Christian Dior, Cartier and Tiffany.
