Gems set hair comb designed by Chaumet.

Fabulous and very luxurious gems set hair comb, created in Paris France by the house of Chaumet, back in the 1968. Beautifully mounted in a frame crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish. It is embellished with customized fancy cuts carved from white nacre. Gorgeous piece with nice look and great eye appeal, was imported from France to England in 1968.

Diamonds: Mount in a French pave setting, with 32 calibrated round brilliant cut diamonds, 1.92 carats, white colorless E/F color, VS-1 clarity.

Emerald: Mount in the center in a bezel setting, with 1 marquise faceted cut of a natural vivid green Colombian emerald of 0.40 carats.

Birthstone: Emerald for the month of May,

Weight: 24.3 Grams, (15.57 Dwt.).

Measurements: 73 mm by 47 mm (2.87 x 1.85 Inches).

Hallmarks: Stamped with British and French marks, the head of the eagle for the assay and warranty of the 18kt gold, the importation letter O for the year 1968 and signed, "CHAUMET LONDON .750" .

Chaumet: The French born jeweler, Marie-Etienne Ninot began his career as an assistant court-jeweler to the queen Marie Antoinette. In 1780, he moved to Paris and founded the House of Chaumet, and was appointed as jeweler to emperor Napoleon in 1802. During this period, Ninot became one of the most popular jewelers in Europe, establishing a loyal and continuous prestigious clientele. today the house remains as a luxury jewelry house under the name Chaumet Paris.
