-Cartier Paris 1935 Art Deco Travel Clock In Red And Black Lacquer In Gilded Sterling
A travel clock designed by Cartier.
Very unusual and fine folded travel clock, created by the house of Cartier during the art deco period, back in the 1935. Crafted in gilded vermeil over sterling silver and embellished with applications of vivid red and black lacquer with accents in yellow gold of 18 karats.
The movement is mechanical hand winding, with the dial in white, yellow golden arabic numbers and black arrows. Fitted with a mechanical push lock and a hinge to display on a table or desk. Engraved with a monogram in low relief MH.

Measurements: Closed is 60 mm by 51 mm by 18 mm (2.36 x 2.0 x 0.71 Inches).
Hallmarks: Stamped with French marks and signed, "CARTIER 8 DAYS".
Collateral: It is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.
Condition: The overall condition of this clock is very god. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the silver or the lacquer. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
