An art deco guilloche enamel box.

This is a fabulous octagonal antique case-box, created in Vienna Austria back in the 1915. The beautiful box has been designed with geometric patterns and chamfered corners in the art deco and neo-classic style. The rare and unusual box has been carefully crafted in solid .900/.999 standard silver with 24 karats gilded interiors. The lid of this box is decorated with openwork openings showing a gate in the center and four butterflies in the corners, to be used as a dressing table vinaigrette.

The box is embellished fully around with a gorgeous engine-turned guilloche, which is topped with light yellow and blue hard glass enamels, all inside an octagonal neo classic frame. The box is fitted with a lid mounted in a concealed nine barrels hinge.
