Exceptional pair of art deco dress clips.

Stunning pair of dress clips brooches, created during the art deco period, back in the 1925. These gorgeous pair of clips are so-called tutti frutti and has been crafted with exceptional details in solid platinum of .900/.999 and fitted at the reverse with hinged clips to be wear in dress. They are embellished with an exceptional calibrated assortment of natural earth mined gemstones.

History: The first Tutti Frutti piece was designed in 1901 by Pierre Cartier. It was a necklace commissioned by queen Alexandra to be worn with three Indian gowns she received as a gift. The designs are considered the perfect mix of east and west because they are made up of brightly colored gemstones (like sapphires, rubies and emeralds) carved using Indian techniques and set in French platinum and diamond mountings. The style became extremely popular during the 1920's, but it wasn't christened the 'Tutti Frutti' until 1970.

Diamonds: Mount in a French pave settings, with 118 old European round cut of natural diamonds, 3.54 carats, white colorless F color, VS-1 clarity.

Diamonds: Mount in a channel settings, with 4 kyte stepped cut of natural diamonds, 0.24 carats, white colorless F color, VS-1 clarity.

Diamonds: Mount in a channel settings, with 8 rectangular stepped cut of natural diamonds, 0.80 carats, white colorless F color, VS-1 clarity.

Diamonds: Mount in Bezel settings, with 4 Square stepped carre cut of natural diamonds, 0.24 carats, white colorless F color, VS-1 clarity.

Carved Ruby: Mount in four-prongs settings, with 10 organic leaf carvings of natural Burmese red rubies, with a combined weight of 6.12 carats.

Other Ruby: Mount in a channel settings, with 20 French squared stepped cut of natural Burmese red rubies, 0.60 carats.

Note: The rubies displayed in these pieces are natural, not heated, translucent and from Burmese origin.

Birthstone: Ruby for the month of July.

Weight: 17.35 Grams, (11.12 Dwt).

Measurements: Each one have 32 mm by 23 mm (1.26 x 0.91 Inches).

Hallmarks: Tested for platinum and stamped with indistinctive numbers.
