ART DECO 1925 Geometric Ring In 18Kt Gold With Diamonds & Sapphires
An art deco platinum ring with sapphires
This is a very nice and delicate antique geometric ring, created in America during the art deco period, back in the 1930. The beautiful ring was crafted with sharp squared shapes in solid 18 karats yellow gold topped with platinum for the setting of the gemstones. The ring is set with a selection of twenty-five natural earth mined gemstones such rose cut diamonds, European cut diamonds and scissor cut sapphires. The settings are detailed with the iconic millegrain patterns.
Diamond: Mount in the center in bezel setting, with 3 European round cut diamond of about 0.40 carats, white colorless G color, SI clarity.
Diamonds: Mount around in bezels and millegrain flush settings, with 16 old rose cut diamonds, with about 0.32 carats, white colorless H/I color, SI clarity.
Sapphires: Mount in channel settings, with 6 French scissor cut of blue sapphires, with a weight of about 0.18 carats.
Birthstone: Sapphires for the month of September.
Weight: 3.25 Grams, (2.08 Dwt).
Size: 9 and may be easily sized on request.
Measurements: 21 mm by 12 mm (0.83 x 0.47 Inches) and raise 5 mm over the finger.
Hallmarks: Stamped with the mark for the assay of the gold, "18KT".
Millegrain
This is a jewelry technique which refers to the textural effect of a close-set line of metal beads that are typically used as a border on the edges or bezels of jewelry.
