An Op-art Geometric earrings designed by Victor Vasarely (1906-1997).

Exceptional wearable pieces of art, created in London England by the Op-art artist Victor Vasarely, back in the 1980. These sculptural earrings are very rare, was named by the artist the Vega Earrings-Stage 2 and has has been carefully crafted in solid yellow gold of 14 karats with high polished finish. Fitted with a pair of posts (Removable) for pierced ears and comfortable French omega backs for fastening clips.

This design of the geometric inlaid mosaic is created with multiples elements, carved from natural gemstones such; tiger eye quartz, red jasper and white nacre.

Weight: 21.3 Grams (13.65 Dwt).

Measurements: 30 mm by 18 mm (1.18 x 0.71 Inches).

Hallmarks: Both are stamped and engraved in the reverse with; the maker's mark, the edition numbers and signed, "VASARELY 5/100 CFA 14KT".

Victor Vasarely, 1905-1997 was a Hungarian-French artist, who is widely accepted as a "grandfather" and leader of the Op-art movement. His work entitled Zebra, created in 1937, is considered by some to be one of the earliest examples of Op-art.
