-Van Cleef & Arpels 1970 Paris Clips On Earrings In 18Kt Gold With Carved Wood

Ear clips designed by Van Cleef & Arpels.

Fabulous and very rare pair of clips-on earrings, created in Paris France by the jewelry house of Van Cleef & Arpels, back in the 1970. These earrings has been crafted with bombe fluted patterns as a left and right at the atelier of Jean-Thierry Bondt. They was crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats and mounted with a pair of galloned Ebony wood carvings. Fitted at the reverse with comfortable hinged French omega backs for fastening clips and the addition of posts for pierced ears can be easily done.

Weight: 35.95 Grams, (23.05 Dwt).

Measurements: 27 mm by 22 mm by 13 mm (1.06 x 0.87 x 0.52 Inches).

Hallmarks: Stamped with French marks; four times with the head of the eagle for the assay and warranty of the 18kt gold, the maker's mark Ste. JTB inside a lozange cartouche associated to the jewelry atelier of Jean-Thierry Bondt, the mark for the assay of the gold, the serial numbers and signed, "VCA OR .750 123905 Ste. JTB".

Note: The master jeweler Jean-Thierry Bondt workshop atelier was located in Paris 2 at 19 Rue de Choiseul, he collaborate with Van Cleef & Arpels between the 1960’s and 1970’s, the workshop operations was ceased in the 2006.

Collateral: They are accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.

Condition: The overall condition of these earrings are excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold or the wood. Both carvings are secured in the settings. This pair has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
