Convertible dangle earrings designed by Andre Vassort for Van Cleef & Arpels.

Beautiful pair of doors-knocker convertible earrings, created in Paris France by the jewelry house of Van Cleef & Arpels, back in the 1970. These dangle drop earrings were crafted with modernist patterns in yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish. They were designed to be converted as a day and night and the carved hooplets can be removed to convert it with a more casual look. Embellished with twenty-six natural earth mined diamonds and two carvings of tiger's eye hardstones. They are fitted at the reverse with hinged French omega backs for fastening clips and the posts for pierced ears can be easily added.

Diamonds: Mount in a pave setting, with 26 calibrated round brilliants cuts diamonds, 1.56 carats, D/E color, VS-1 clarity.

Tiger Eye: Fitted with 2 removable hooplets, carved in the shaped of door-knocker's from natural tiger's, eye with a combined weight of 60 carats.

Birthstone: Tiger's eye for the month of June.

Weight: 21.70 grams, (13.91 Dwt.).

Measures: 44 mm by 30 mm (1.73 x 1.18 inches).

Hallmarks: They are both stamped with French marks; the eagle's head for the assay and guaranty of the 18 kt gold, the maker's maitre cartouche P&FLS, for Pery Et Fils, the seven digits alphanumerical serial numbers and signed in full, "VAN CLEEF & ARPELS VCA© OR .750 18 KT C3015A9".

Collateral: These earrings are accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.

Condition: The overall condition of this earrings is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. The gemstones are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
