Oversized clip earrings designed by Angela Cummings for Tiffany & Co.

Very rare oversized variant of the iconic polka dot pieces, created in New York city by Cummings at the Tiffany Studios, back in the 1974. These clips earrings has been crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats, with high polished finish. They are fitted with omega backs for fastening clips and the posts option for pierced ears can be easily added.

Embellished with multiples free forms gold pieces inlaid in the black jade. This "positive and positive" patterns are one of the most rare variant of this collection and was offered by Tiffany as a larger option for this popular design by Cummings, actually this model is discontinued since 1978. Measurements: 27 mm by 20 mm (1.06 x 0.79 Inches).

Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, the gold assay mark and signed, "T&CO. 18KT".

Angela Cummings, was born in 1944 in Klagenfurt in Austria. She take her education at the art academy in Perugia, Italy and at the Zeichenakademie in Hanau, West Germany. in the 1967 she joined Tiffany & Co working under the guidance of Donald Claflin and in the 1975, she was the artistic director for her exclusive line brand Cummings. in 1984 she started her own line of jewelry to be retailed exclusively at an in-boutique store at Bergdorf Goodman, in New York city. now she's retired from the jewelry business.
