MODERNIST 1970 Italian Fluted Clips-On Earrings In 18Kt Gold With Lapis Lazuli
Italian fluted clips-on earrings.
Beautiful pair of clips-on earrings, created in Italy during the modernist period, back in the late 1960, early 1970. The statement earrings has been crafted with fluted patterns in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with polished finish. They are embellished with a pair of earth mined natural rich blue lapis lazuli, which are carved with fluted scalloped shapes. They are fitted at the reverse with gold posts (Removable) for pierced ears and concealed French omega backs for fastening clips.
Note: We can attribute these earrings to the Italian designer Carlo Weingrill.
Gemstones: Mounted in bezel settings, with 2 fancy fluted cabochon cut carved from natural lapis lazuli, with a combined estimate weight of about 28 carats.
Birthstone: Lapis Lazuli for the month of September.

Measurements: 22 mm by 16 mm by 16.3 mm (0.87 x 0.63 x 0.64 Inches).
Hallmarks: Stamped with the mark for the assay of the 18kt gold standard.
Collateral: These earrings are accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.
Condition: The overall condition of these earrings are excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. Both gemstones are secured in their settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
