This is a beautiful pair of clips-on earrings created in New York City by George Schuler during the post war period, back in the 1950. These earrings have been crafted in the shape of organics leaves in solid yellow gold of 14 karats with high textured surfaces and embellished with twenty-four natural earth mined vivid red rubies. They are fitted at the reverse with the iconic Schuler backs and gold posts for pierced ears. George Schuler, designed many similar pieces like this for the jewelry houses of Cartier, Tiffany & Co. and VCA in New York. All his models and designs, always include these iconic clips backs, which were patented by him in 1942.
Rubies: Mount in channels settings, with 24 graduated round faceted cut of natural vivid red rubies with a total weight of about 0.72 carats.
Weight: 12.40 Grams, (7.95 Dwt).
Measurements: 30 mm by 13 mm (1.18 x 0.51 Inches).
Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark monogram, the mark for the assay and warranty of the gold and signed as follows, "GS 14KT".
