Pair of French art deco platinum studs earrings
This is a beautiful antique pair of studs earrings, created in France during the art deco period, back in 1925. The pair of earrings was crafted in round shapes in white gold of 18 karats and are mounted with a nice selection of twenty graduated natural, earth mined gemstones, such; blue sapphires and frosted rock quartzes, with the settings finished with millegrain patterns. They are fitted at the reverse with comfortable posts for pierced ears and butterfly push backs.
Sapphires: Mount in millegrain flush settings, with 18 French emerald cuts of natural blue sapphires with a weight of about 0.90 carats.
Rock Quartz: Mount in bezels, with 2 round cabochons cuts carved from translucent rock quartz.
Birthstone: Sapphires for the month of September.
Weight: 4.45 Grams, (2.87 Dwt).
Measurements: Diameter of 15.2 mm (0.59 Inches).
Hallmarks: Stamped with the French mark of the eagle-head for the assay and warranty of the 18kt gold. Unmarked, but electronically tested for .750/.999 Au.
