Pair of art deco platinum clips-on earrings designed by Waslikoff & Sons

This is a stunning antique pair of clips-on earrings, created in America during the art deco period, back in the 1930. The pair of earrings was crafted by Waslikoff & Sons in solid platinum and are mounted with a fabulous selection of eighty graduated natural earth mined diamonds. The earrings were designed with three rounded shape sections and the diamond's settings were finished with millegrain patterns. They are fitted at the reverse with comfortable posts (Removable) for pierced ears and comfortable hinged French omega backs for fastening clips. Exceptional earrings with gorgeous craftmanship.

Diamonds: Mount in bezel settings, with 12 European round cut diamonds, with an approximate combined weight of 1.20 carats, white colorless F/G color, VS/SI clarity. 

Diamonds: Mount in channels settings, with 12 straight baguettes cut diamonds, with an approximate combined weight of 1.08 carats, white colorless F/G color, VS/SI clarity. 

Diamonds: Mount in millegrain flush settings, with 56 graduated European round cut diamonds, with an approximate combined weight of 1.90 carats, white colorless F/G color, VS/SI clarity. 

Weight: 13.8 Grams, (8.85 Dwt).

Measurements: 22 mm by 21 mm (0.87 x 0.83 Inches).

Hallmarks: They are both stamped with the maker's mark W associated to Waslikoff & Sons and electronically tested for platinum.

M. Waslikoff & Sons

The company was established in New York city in 1910. Was an American jewelery company, very famous for their art deco pieces from the 1920’s to the 1940’s. The company was a leading maker of flexible watch bands and bracelets made entirely of platinum, they also produced jewelry pieces for Cartier and Tiffany. They was located in 1940 at 44 W 48th St. in New York NY then in 1950 at 42 W. 48th St. New York, NY.

Millegrain 

This is a jewelry technique which refers to the textural effect of a close-set line of metal beads that are typically used as a border on the edges or bezels of jewelry.

ConditionThe overall condition of these Platinum earrings are excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the platinum. The 80 diamonds are secured in the settings. This pair has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
