Angela Cummings 1984 Studio Textured Wrapped Earrings In Solid 18Kt Yellow Gold

Rare pair of earrings designed by Angela Cummings.

An elegant pair of textured earrings, created back in the 1984 at the Cummings studio in New York city. This vintage rare pieces are made as a mirrored pair and was crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats, finished with a combination of brushed and polished surfaces.

They are suited at the reverse with posts (Removable) and comfortable omega backs for fastening clips

Have a total weight of 38.3 grams and a measures of of 26 mm BY 26 mm (1.02 x 1.02 inch).

Both have a plaque at the reverse stamped, with the maker's mark, the gold assay hallmark and signed, "18 K 1984 CUMMINGS.".

Angela Cummings was born in 1944 in Klagenfurt in Austria. She take her education at the art academy in Perugia, Italy and at the Zeichenakademie in Hanau, West Germany. in the 1967 she joined Tiffany & Co working under the guidance of Donald Claflin and in the 1975, she was the artistic director for her exclusive line brand Cummings. in 1984 she started her own line of jewelry to be retailed exclusively at an in-boutique store at Bergdorf Goodman, in New York city. now she's retired from the jewelry business.

A very nice and rare collector's piece, both her signed pieces for Tiffany & Co. created in the 1970's and 1980's and also her own exclusive pieces, remain highly collectible and are admired for their beauty, comfort and easily recognizably in style.
