This is a classic iconic pendant, created in Paris France by the jewelry house of Van Cleef & Arpels, back in the 1970. The large pendant is very rare and unusual because the size and has been crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish. It is embellished with carvings of black onyx and a pavé of forty-nine white colorless diamonds. Fitted on top with a movable oval ring to wear in a chain.
Diamonds: Mount in a French pavé settings, with 49 round brilliant cut diamonds, with a total of about 1.96 carats, white colorless E color, VS-1 clarity.
Gemstones: Mount in channels settings, with 2 fancy curved cabochon cuts carved from natural black onyx.
Birthstone: Onyx for the month of July.
Weight: 13.20 Grams, (8.46 Dwt).
Measurements: 40 mm by 30 mm (1.57 x 1.18 Inches).
Hallmarks Stamped with French marks; the maker's mark Ste. M, the mark of the eagle's head for the assay and warranty of the 18kt gold, the seven-digits serial number and signed in full as follow, "VAN CLEEF & ARPELS©.750 MADE IN FRANCE NY16V654-5".
Collateral: This pendant is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.
