Beautiful pair of clips-on earrings, created in France by the iconic Parisian jewelry house of Van Cleef & Arpels, back in the1970's. This pair of earrings has been crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats and embellished with applications of glass enamel over a guilloche surface. The earrings are decorated with a pattern of circles, geometrically placed as a zig zag, which are mounted with 56 natural and earth mined diamonds. They are fitted at the reverse with posts for pierced ears and comfortable French omega backs for fastening clips.
Diamonds: Mounted in pave settings, with 56 calibrated round European cut diamonds with a combined weight of 1.68 carats, white colorless E/F color, VS-1 clarity.
Weight: 15.95 Grams, (10.20 Dwt).
Measures: 23 mm by 14 mm, (0.91 x 0.55 Inches).
Hallmarks: They are both stamped with the maker's mark, the mark for the assay of the gold, the five digits serial numbers and signed, "VCA 22655 737AL .750"
Guilloché
This term is used in fine jewelry to enhance the appearance of brooches, rings and pendants. Guilloché enamel refers to metal pieces that have been given the Guilloché treatment and then covered with a translucent layer of enamel, giving the geometric patterns underneath the enamel a colorful hue
