Tiffany Co 1980 By Angela Cummings Rare Nickelodeon Splash Earrings In 18Kt Yellow Gold

Rare pair of earrings designed by Angela Cummings for Tiffany & Co.

A rare vintage pieces, made Cummings in the 1981 at the New York city atelier. They was carefully crafted in solid 18 karats, with high polished finish and suited at the back with posts (Removable) for pierced ears and omega backs for fastening clips. 

We called the design of this pair Nickelodeon, due the splash shape pattern.

Have a weight of 14.3 grams and a measures of 26 mm by 25 mm (1 Inch).

Both are stamped, with the maker's mark, the gold assay hallmark and signed in full, "18 K 1981 TIFFANY & CO.".

Angela Cummings, was born in 1944 in Klagenfurt in Austria. She take her education at the art academy in Perugia, Italy and at the Zeichenakademie in Hanau, West Germany. in the 1967 she joined Tiffany & Co working under the guidance of Donald Claflin and in the 1975, she was the artistic director for her exclusive line brand Cummings. in 1984 she started her own line of jewelry to be retailed exclusively at an in-boutique store at Bergdorf Goodman, in New York city. now she's retired from the jewelry business.

A very nice and rare collector's piece, both her signed pieces for Tiffany & Co. created in the 1970's and 1980's and also her own exclusive pieces, remain highly collectible and are admired for their beauty, comfort and easily recognizably in style.

Condition: The overall condition of this earring are excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
