Tiffany & Co. Paloma Picasso Cocktail Ring In 18Kt With 9.15 Cts Aquamarine And Tourmaline

This is a very sophisticate and rare geometric domed ring, created in New York city by Paloma Picasso for Tiffany & Co. back in the 1980. The ring is very aerodynamic and smooth and was crafted as a toi et moi, in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish. It is embellished with two natural earth mined Brazilian gemstones such: a blue aquamarine and a green tourmaline.

Aquamarine: Mount in a bezel setting, with 1 oval faceted cut (12 x 10 x 6.5 mm) of a natural blue aquamarine of 4.27 carats.

Tourmaline: Mount in a bezel setting, with 1 oval faceted cut (12 x 10 x 6.5 mm) of a natural vivid green tourmaline of 4.88 carats.

Weight: 24.3 grams, (15.58 Dwt.).

Size: 7 and can be sized on request.

Measures: 21 mm (0.83 inch) by 25 mm (1 inch) and raise 10 mm over the finger.

Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, the mark for the assay of the gold and signed, "TIFFANY & CO. ,750 C. PALOMA PICASSO".

Paloma Picasso

She was the daughter of the artists Pablo Picasso and Françoise Gilot, Paloma has been a creative force since the day she was born. Growing up in France, she was surrounded by art and was always encouraged to create herself, which she did with great enthusiasm—firstly, with childhood drawings and, later, through her now iconic jewelry collections for tiffany. Embodying the art and culture movement of the 1980s in New York city, Paloma was a progressive choice for Tiffany & Co. This ring is a serious collector's piece, rare and in perfect condition. As a note this model was also produced with other lesser valued colored gemstones, such citrines and amethyst. Paloma Picasso's jewelry is recognizable for the use of brilliants and colored gems, set in bold shaped designs.
