A fastuous aquamarine and sapphires cocktail ring, made in Milan Italy by the iconic jewelry house of Buccellati, back in the 1970. This colorful piece was part of the Maison collection privee and was carefully crafted with high baroque revival patterns in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with white gold accents. The entire surface of the ring is worked out with the characteristic and iconic etched Buccellati's patterns such intricate brushed, burnish and chiseled finishes. The ring is embellished with nine natural earth mined sapphires and one aquamarine.
Aquamarine: Mount in the center, with 1 cushion faceted cut (18 x 7 x 6.2 mm) vivid blue aquamarine of 5.45 carats.
Sapphires: Mount around in bezel settings, with 8 round faceted cuts of 3.8 mm of blue sapphires, with 1.60 carats.
Birthstones: Aquamarine for the month of March and sapphire for September.
Weight: 11.95 Grams (7.98 Dwt).

Measurements: 30 mm by 20 mm (1.18 x 0.80 Inches) and raise 7.5 mm over the finger.

Mario Buccellati
He was born in 1891 and opened his first enterprise in 1919, after the establishment of stores in Milan, Rome and Florence, began the development of his overseas business by opening a new store on Fifth Avenue in New York in 1954 and another in Worth Avenue in Palm Beach, Florida in 1958. In 1949, Mario Buccellati was commissioned to create an icon by Pope Pius XII for Princess Margaret to mark the extraordinary power of the first visit of a British Royal to Vatican City in hundreds of years. This magnificent work of art can be admired today at the Chianciano Art Museum in Tuscany. In 1965, after the death of Mario, the management of the firm was conducted by four of his five sons. In 1971, the new brand Gianmaria Buccellati was launched by one of Mario's sons, who started a separate business from his brothers, and in 2011 came to an agreement with his relatives for the brand Buccellati, then Buccellati Holding Italia, reshape the company.
