Pair of diamonds earrings designed by Raymond Yard.

Fabulous pair of clips earrings, created by the iconic jewelry designer Raymond C. Yard during the late art deco period, circa 1940. These gorgeous pair has been crafted in solid platinum with high polished finish and fitted with posts for pierced ears (Removable) and comfortable French omega backs for fastening clips. They are mount with a great calibrated selection of natural earth mined diamonds.

Diamonds: Mount in the center in four-prongs settings, with 2 stepped emerald cut (5 x 7 x 3 mm) diamonds, 1.84 carats, white colorless F/G color, loupe clean VS-2 clarity

Diamonds: Mounted in channel settings, with 36 straight baguette cut  diamonds, 3.68 carats, white colorless F/G color, VS-2 clarity.

Birthstone: For the month of April.

Weight: 18.95 Grams, (12.15 Dwt).

Measurements: 21 mm by 9.50 mm (0.83 x 0.37 Inches).

Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, the mark for the assay of the platinum, the inventory numbers and signed, "YARD 11453 PLAT".

Raymond C. Yard, began his career in the jewelry business in 1898 as a door boy at Marcus & Co. It was during this period that the newly affluent American industrial families began to patronize American jewelers like Tiffany & Co. Yard was encouraged by John D. Rockefeller, Jr., to open his own company.Rockefeller recommended the Yard firm to his family and connections, and shortly Yard was creating jewels for the Woolworth, Flagler, Dupont, Harriman, and the Vanderbilt families.

The firm, Raymond C. Yard, focused primarily on custom pieces for their clientele and was known for sourcing the highest quality of materials that his clientele demanded. Stock pieces were executed by the highest level of outside manufacturers, with Yard supplying the stones and designs.

His creations exemplified the understated elegance of impeccable workmanship combined with the very finest of materials. Raymond Yard prided himself on his knowledge of gems and was considered one of the foremost experts on pearls.
