Lambert Brothers, was founded in 1877 by the Italian jeweler August Lambert and his brother. The company Lambert Brothers was a family business owned by Italians and one of the oldest quality jewelry companies in America. Later, Henry L. Lambert (1905 – 1983) headed his father and uncle’s business. Noteworthy, before joining the family company, he had studied gem cutting and jewelry design in Amsterdam and Paris. They was located in New York City at the 3rd avenue Corner 58th Street and offer bracelets, watches, medals and a variety of fine jewelry as cigarette cases, pearl strings, rings, bracelets, cufflinks, brooches, earrings, chains and necklaces. Traditionally, they stamped their pieces on the back with the name of the company and the purity of metal. The company was sold in 1976 to the Italian jewelry retailers Franz Hausmann head of the Hausmann chain, one of Italy's best‐known retail jewelers, who had long wanted to open an American branch. The Zale Corporation of Dallas purchased Lambert Brothers Jewelers Inc. in 1977, shortly thereafter Henry Lambert retired in 1978.

Note: Millegrain is a jewelry technique which refers to the textural effect of a close-set line of metal beads that are typically used as a border on the edges or bezels of jewelry.
