Colombia emerald and diamonds ring, Gia Certified.
A vintage European gem cluster cocktail ring from the mid-century period, circa 1950. It was made in solid white gold of 18 karats, with high polished finish. The center is mounted with a four-prongs setting, that are holding a natural Colombian vivid green emerald, surrounded by mixed cuts diamonds.
The main gemstone is a rectangular steps cut (9.61 x 8.20 x 6.2 mm) rom the Muzo mine, with a total weight of 3.30 carats, with exceptional green saturation, crystalline and transparent, with insignificant and very minimal inclusions, as usual.
The center stone, is surrounded by very fine gradated diamonds, all F/G color, VS-2 clarity, described as follow;
5 Marquise cuts, 1.25 carats.
14 Round brilliant cuts, 2.15 carats.
Have a total weight of 8.8 grams and the actual size is 5.25, sizeable.
Stamped with the assay hallmarks, ".750" and the top view measures are 21 mm by 22 mm.
Collateral: This ring is accompanied by the Gia laboratory report number 6227072314, stating is a natural and transparent Colombian Emerald.
Note: Muzo is a town and municipality in the western Bocaya province, part of the department of Bocaya, Colombia. It is widely known as the world capital of emeralds for the mines containing the world's highest quality gems of this type.
