Pair of coin earrings with Ancient Romans Denarius.

An elegant pair crafted with classical roman revival patterns in solid yellow gold of 18 karats, with high polished finish. Suited at the reverse, with post for pierced ears and hinged omega backs for fastening clips.

They are mounted, with a pair of authentic Roman ancient silver coins from the Roman Republican period (509-27 bc). The coins are two silver Denarius (3.83 grams, 17 mm) struck in the Roma city mint 

Coin one: By the moneyer. L Antestius Gragulus in 136 BC. Ref: Crawford 238/1.

Obverse description: The helmeted portrait bust of Roma facing to the right with the legend, GRAG, with X at right camp.                                                                         

Reverse description: Jupiter in quadriga right, brandishing thunderbolt; All in a quick-riding to the right in a quadriga of four horses, with a ship's rudder below and the name of RL ANTES / ROMA. in beneath at the exergue. 

Coin two: By the moneyer ,M. Aemilius Lepidus (114 B.C.) Ref: Crawford 291/1, Syd. 554; Aemilia 7

Obverse description: The portrait bust of Roma facing to the right with the legend, R O M A [last two letters ligate], laureate female bust (of Roma?) right, * behind

Reverse description: M N • AEMILIO [some letters ligate], Equestrian statue on top of a three arches (aqueduct?), L E P within arches

This pair have a total weight of 23.4 grams and a measures of 24 mm by 20 mm.

Both are stamped with the maker's mark and the gold assay hallmarks, "18 KT".
