Magnificent jeweled cocktail ring, created in Rome, Italy by the iconic jewelry house of Bvlgari. This model is part of the Bvlgari collection privee, named Doppio and was carefully crafted with great attention to details in solid white gold of 18 karats, with high polished finish. Bezel set, with two great natural gemstones.
One heart shaped cabochon cut (7.60 x 8.70 x 4.16 mm) of a Ceylon blue Sapphire of 2.75 carats.
One oval cabochon cut (8.32 x 6.25 x 3.34 mm) of a Red Ruby of 1.66 carats.
Has a total weight of 19.8 Grams and the actual size is 6, sizeable. The top view measures are 18 mm by 20 mm.
Stamped, with the maker's mark, the Italian gold assay hallmark, the specific weight of each gemstones, the serial numbers and signed in full, "BVLGARI ROMA .750 MADE IN ITALY CS 2.75 cts. 1.66 Cts.".
Bvlgari, was founded in the late 19th century by Sotirio Bulgari, who was born in 1857 in Greece and was descended from a talented family of silversmiths. In 1884 he opened his first shop in Rome on the Via Sistina, and then in 1905 he moved to the actual flag's store in Via dei Condotti. Upon Sotirio’s death in 1932 his sons, Giorgio and Costantino, took over the business. They are credited with creating the highly distinctive ‘Bvlgari’ style, inspired by Greek and Roman classicism revival, the Italian Renaissance, and the 19th century Roman school of goldsmiths. The 1970s marked the beginning of Bulgari’s international expansion with the opening of stores in New York (the first overseas), Paris, Geneva and Monte Carlo.
