Drop lariat necklace designed by Gianmaria Buccellati.

Gorgeous bicolor piece, created in Milano Italy by the iconic jewelry house of Buccellati. This lariat drop necklace has been crafted in solid 18 karats of yellow and white gold. Fitted with a push boxed security lock and a pair of hinged figures 8's for extra safety.

The design is composed by a double bicolor chains with six hanging circular elements finished with the characteristic and iconic Buccellati's woven and mesh patterns.

Weight: 115.98 Grams, (74.35 Dwt).

Measurements: Fit a neck up to 14.5 Inches (36.83 Cm) and the hanging drop elements have a graduated lengths up to 10 inches.

Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, the Italian gold assay mark and signed, "GIANMARIA BUCCELLATI 18KT ITALY MI15, *MI4 ,750".

Note: The Italian goldsmith mark MI-4 is assigned to the jewelry atelier of Bongiovanni Carmelo, located in the city of Milano at Via Mecenate 76. This atelier was founded in 1935 are still active and were big collaborator to the Buccellati brothers creating chains and components for their jewelry.

Mario Buccellati, born in 1891 and opened his first enterprise in 1919, after the establishment of stores in Milan, Rome and Florence, began the development of his overseas business by opening a new store on Fifth Avenue in New York  in 1954 and another in Worth Avenue in Palm Beach, Florida in 1958. In 1949, Mario Buccellati was commissioned to create an icon by Pope PiUs XII for Princess Margaret to mark the extraordinary power of the first visit of a British Royal to Vatican City  in hundreds of years. This magnificent work of art can be admired today at the Chianciano Art Museum in Tuscany. In 1965, after the death of Mario, the management of the firm was conducted by four of his five sons. In 1971, the new brand Gianmaria Buccellati was launched by one of Mario's sons, who started a separate business from his brothers, and in 2011 came to an agreement with his relatives for the brand Buccellati, then Buccellati Holding Italia, reshape the company.
