An exceptional toi et moi platinum ring attributed to Maurice Tishman.

A beautiful and historical piece from the American Art-Deco period, created circa 1930. This Toi Et Moi bypass ring was carefully crafted, with the typical composition from the period, of solid .900/.999 platinum with .100/.999 Iridium and is embellished with exceptional natural diamonds mounted in a millegrain finish settings.

Diamonds: Mount on top in prongs settings, with 2 pear faceted cuts (5.5 x 4 x 3.2) diamonds, 1.00 carats, white colorless E/D Color, VVS-1 clarity.

Diamonds: Mount on beside in channels settings, with 22 caliber baguette cut diamonds, 1.02 carats, white colorless E/D Color, VVS-1 clarity.

Weight: 5.35 Grams, (3.42 Dwt).

Size: 6 sizeable.

Measurements: 7 mm by 20 mm (0.28 x 0.79 Inches).

Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, the inventory numbers, the platinum and the iridium assay mark and signed, "10% IRID. PLAT .900 4641".

Maurice Tishman was born in New York in 1887 and started his career as a jeweler in 1907. After having served in the army during the World War I, he opened his manufacturing and retail shop in New York in the 1920s on Fifth Ave. In his small shop, Maurice Tishman produced many art deco and individually designed fine pieces of jewelry until his death in 1955 at the age of 68.

Note: Millegrain is a jewelry technique which refers to the textural effect of a close-set line of metal beads that are typically used as a border on the edges or bezels of jewelry.

Collateral: It is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.

ConditionThe overall condition of this ring is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. All diamonds are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
