*Art Deco 1920 chinoiserie necklace in 14 kt yellow gold with carvings of natural reddish coral
A Art-Deco Chinoiserie coral necklace.
Very elegant European antique piece, made with wonderful details during the art deco period, circa 1920's (probably earlier). It was crafted, with very delicate oval frames made of solid gold of 14 karats and suited, with a boxed push lock.
The necklace itself is mounted with 9 oval elements (13 mm by 20 mm), carved with organics chinoiserie motifs from natural red-orangish coral.
The center is embellished, with a larger main piece hanging. A trapezoidal shaped element carved from the same material and motifs, with a measures of 25 by 40 mm. In addition has ten small spheres of 5 mm carved from reddish coral as a dividers.
Have a total weight of 28.95 grams and a lenght of 17.5 inches (44.45 cm).
Stamped, with European gold assay hallmark, "14 K".
A very nice collector's piece in perfect condition, with great patina. all parts are original with no replacements or previous repair. The corals parts are vivid red-orangish color.
