Beautiful sculptural necklace, created by Angela Cummings at her goldsmith studio in New York city, back in the 1981. This modernist and bold piece has been crafted with free-forms holed patterns in solid .925 sterling silver, with polished finish. Fitted with an integrated hook as a closure system.

The entire surfaces are decorated with multiples graduated patterns of holes resembling the organic texture of a sea-coral.

Has a total  weight of 148.6 Grams and a length of 17 Inches (43.20 Cm). The width measure is 25.8 mm (1 Inch). 

Stamped with the maker's mark, the hallmark for the assay of the silver and signed in full, "ANGELA CUMMINGS 1991 STERLING".

Angela Cummings was born in 1944 in Klagenfurt in Austria. She take her education at the art academy in Perugia, Italy and at the Zeichenakademie in Hanau, West Germany. in the 1967 she joined Tiffany & Co working under the guidance of Donald Claflin and in the 1975, she was the artistic director for her exclusive line brand Cummings. in 1984 she started her own line of jewelry to be retailed exclusively at an in-boutique store at Bergdorf Goodman, in New York city. now she's retired from the jewelry business.

A very nice and rare collector's piece, both her signed pieces for Tiffany & Co. created in the 1970's and 1980's and also her own exclusive pieces, remain highly collectible and are admired for their beauty, comfort and easily recognizably in style.
