Double tiered ring designed by Jean Schlumberger for Tiffany & Co.

Rare large model ring of the vintage Jean Schlumberger for Tiffany & Co. This double tiered knots motif cocktail ring, was crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish. The vibrant, striking design of this ring is an excellent complement to any Schlumberger Croisillon bracelets.

Embellished with applications of vivid Lively and joyful foiled red hot enamel with contrasting the four bold triparts gold knots.

Has a total weight of 8.4 grams and the actual size is 7.5, cannot be enlarged. This substantial ring measures 12mm high at the front-top, tapering to 8mm at the back.

Stamped, with the maker's mark, the hallmark for the assay of the gold and signed "TIFFANY & CO. 750 SCHLUMBERGER".

Jean Schlumberger, was asked in 1956 by the president of Tiffany & Co. Walter Hovin to begin designing for the firm. He had his own workshop at the company until his retirement in the late 1970's and was eventually made vice president of the company. Schlumberger design's at tiffany were remarkable for their whimsical interpretation of natural forms. He was especially inspired by the sea creatures and others animals. He was an exceptional designer, jeweler and a master enameller.
