Ancient Greek Pegasus coin necklace designed by Hemmerle.

Classic gem set coin necklace, created in Munich Germany by the jewelry house of Hemmerle, back in the late 1970. Featuring as a main element a silver Stater coin from the ancient Greek city of Corinthia. This fabulous piece has been crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish and detailed rims in .900/.999 platinum. The main chain of the necklace is a flexible round tubogas type and the entire surface is finished with very high polish. Fitted at tte reverse with two invisible hinged slashes as a closure-opening system.

Hemmerle jewelry pieces are rare and very hard to find. A necklace like this with this kind of coin is quite rare. The craftsmanship and the assembling are really exceptional, this is definitely a great collector's items.

Coin Obverse description: Portrait bust of Athena with long hair facing to the left and wearing a crestless Corinthian war helmet pushed back on head, with a laurel wreath. The letters AP under the neck and a cornucopia with two flowers behind at the right campus.

Coin Reverse description: Winged Pegasus, flying to to left, with Q (qoppa) in beneath.

Sapphires: Mount in a channel setting, with 62 caliber squared faceted cut of natural Ceylon vivid blue sapphires, with 6.82 carats.
