BIZANTINE 1775 Orthodox Cross In Copper 18Kt Vermeil Sterling And Diamonds
Orthodox cross from the 18th century.
The main center piece of this pendant, is an antique late 18th century archeological Byzantine Orthodox cross. This antique cross was found in the city of Novgorod in Russia and was sand-casted in solid copper back in the, circa 1775-1780. The central cross is specially mount in a custom-made frame, masterfully crafted in solid 18 karats vermeil on sterling silver and embellished with twenty-six sparkling antique rose cut round diamonds. The mounting permit to see both sides of the cross, which is beautifully engraved.
Diamonds: Mounted in flush settings, with 26 antique round cut diamonds, with a total weight of 0.39 carats. Mixed SI/I clarity.
