Parure Perle suite designed by Gilbert Albert. (1930-2019)

Magnificent and extremely rare convertible parure set, created in Geneva Switzerland by the master jewelry designer Gilbert Albert, back in the 1970's. These versatile sculptural set of necklace, brooch and earrings, is a one-of-a-kind unique pieces carefully crafted with organics motifs in solid yellow gold of 18 karats, with a beautiful and delicate couscous dots patterns.

It is embellished, with a great selection of rare gemstones, such; a brownish golden pearl of 12.3 mm, two rectangular faceted cut (17 x 5 mm) of gray-pink tourmalines, with a weight of 11.06 carats and six free forms elements carved from natural brownish opalescents sea shells.

The pieces are accented, with 54 graduated round brilliant cut diamonds, all mounted into bezels with a combined weight of 2.72 carats, E/F color, VS-1 clarity.

The articulated necklace collar is suited with a discrete boxed lock with a hinged slash and has a weight of 116.65 Grams. Fit very comfortable in a neck up to 16.5 Inches (42 Cm) and the drop element itself (Brooch) have a measurements of 76.5 mm by 65 mm (3 x 2.56 Inches).

The clips-earrings are suited with French omega backs for fastening clips and if is desired, the post option for pierced ears can be easily added. Both has a combined weight of 18.3 Grams and a measurements of 30 mm by 19 mm (1.18 x 0.75 Inches).

Each piece is stamped, with the circled maker's mark GA, the guaranty assay hallmark for the gold, the serial numbers 549371 and signed in full, "GILBERT ALBERT GA 549 371 .750".

Gilbert Albert, born in Geneva, Switzerland in 1930, is a jewelry designer and one of the most influential jeweler artist of the 20th and 21th century with more than 10 world award winning prizes. He made important sculptural jewelry works for the Patek Philippe company and he worked there as part of the designer team.

He was head of the workshop from the 1955 to 1962, during which time he designed his signature asymmetrical watches for the company. Mr. Albert took his inspiration from his passion for modern art, notably works by Brancusi and Mondrian. In 1962 after leaving the Patek Philippe Co, he founded an opened his own firm at rue de la Corraterie in Geneva where one of his workshops is located still today. He also worked for the Omega SA Watch Company. Recently he opened boutique stores in Paris and New York city.
